Carl Trimbach, PhD

I am currently an Applied Machine Learning Scientist in Grainger's finance department. Our team provides machine learning solutions to business partners across the organization.

I earned my PhD in Computer Science at Brown University in October of 2021. During my graduate work, I was advised by Dr. Michael Littman. Before attending Brown, I earned my BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers University.

While I am interested broadly in machine learning, my research focused mainly on machine teaching. I studied the theoretical and practical application of using machine teaching techniques to solve provably hard learning problems.
